Someone once said to me – “How you speak to your children becomes their inner voice.” With time, I have found that it’s totally true! While talking to in-laws, relatives, friends and our boss we always keep our tone polite; we choose words sensibly. But when it comes to our own kids, do we choose our words with care? Sometimes, we moms unknowingly use words which damage our child’s confidence, emotion, and peace of mind…

these are all so sad. I couldn’t imagine speaking to my child that way! I sometimes have to convince her to hurry up and pick up the pace when we are running late but I try to be as nice as possible.

It’s sad how parents don’t realize this at times. There are so many kids out there facing this it breaks my heart

I totally agree with you! We say sometimes things to our children that can really hurt them and we don’t even realize it!
