Motherhood is a beautiful phase that gives birth to a beautiful relation – A relation that is stronger than all relations- Mother and Child. A child finds her first friend, first teacher and her life in the form of her mom. A mom finds her true inner strength once she becomes a mom. Today, We are sharing an inspiring journey of beautiful women Malika Sadani who is a mum of two beautiful munchkins and is a leading entrepreneur of the most loved mom care brand The Moms Co.
Malika Sadani is an Army child and grew up across the country changing schools every two years. Travelling and meeting new people has been something she always looks forward to.
Malika Sadani is an engineer and MBA by education, Malika worked as a banker before quitting her job to become a full-time mom. The Moms Co. was born out of her uncompromising attention to the smallest of details and her desire that no mom should have to compromise on the products, her constant endeavor is to create the high-quality natural products in India.
Malika Sadani’s Mission for The Moms Co.is to help moms by making Natural, Safe and effective choices for themselves and their families. They follow a simple Motto of Nature In, Toxins Out.
Malika Sadani as a Mom and her Motherhood journey.
Imagine if you were 5 months pregnant and you land in a new country, all new folks, no family, and a completely alien medical system. That’s how I started my motherhood journey, moving to London when I was 5 months pregnant! Since then it’s been a journey of learning something new every day.
My girls are now 3 and 6 yrs. Old and it still feels like we’re all learning and growing up together.
The Present generation believes in Equal Parenting, Where Both Mom and Dad give equal time to Child What is your thoughts on this and do you get equal support from your better half?
I strongly believe the child needs both the parents. Mohit, my husband has always been a very hands-on dad. In fact, he changed Myraah’s diapers and gave her a bath even before I did!
I can just leave the girls with him and take off knowing completely that all their needs will be taken care of and their schedules will be maintained. It really helps me be more effective at work.
For the girls, we bring very different things to a table, Mohit loves watching animated movies with the girls while I enjoy dancing with them. While I sit up to listen to all their tales, Mohit loves reading to them.
Being a Mompreneur, is parenting difficult for you? Especially when you go out and wish to spare family time, and you have deadlines etc.?
It’s a roller coaster ride, but a lot of fun. My girls like to follow a routine that helps me manage my time effectively. Since I am mostly in control of my schedule, I ensure no meetings are lined up anywhere close to times when I need to be at school or a recital or their performances.
Having said that I have also done an investor meeting 3 hrs before my daughter’s birthday party! What really helps me is that my daughters are very proud of what I do and share the excitement.
There are days when they come to the office and help us pack boxes, put barcodes before shipments and they enjoy every bit of it.

What is the Idea behind The Moms Co.? How did it come up?
Our idea is simple – to help moms make Safe, Easy, Effective Natural choices for themselves and their families.
It was during my pregnancy in London that I got introduced to the harmful effects of toxins in the products we use. Like every parent wanting the best for their kids, I chose safer, Natural options for Myraah.
On moving back to India, I was disappointed to not find such options. On speaking to over 100 moms I realized they all had similar concerns.
We asked ourselves, why should something as simple as your baby’s bath time become a complicated task of researching, finding reviews, reading ingredients! We want to make life simple, and for that follow a simple mantra of Nature In, Toxins out.
We use only the best natural Ingredients and stay away from everything that’s even potentially harmful, so mommies know here is a brand that I can trust will never make a compromise.

Share your secret mantra of balancing life, me time, parenting and The Moms Co. So beautifully?
I try very hard, but honestly, it gets difficult at times. During the chaotic days, what helps me keep my calm is remembering that The Moms Co. started because I wanted the best for Myraah and Syna.
I make it a point to never miss a workshop at school, a school recital or any of their performances, there’s always dedicated time for them, no matter how tough the day may be.
We have an amazing team who understands this and gets on a call with me even at odd hours in a night, and I have a great family support that really helps me make sure that together, we’re maintaining a really good balance that we can be happy with.
Any advice that you have for moms who are trying to make a perfect life for their kids, but feel that motherhood has put a full stop to their career?
I took a break for 5 years after Myraah was born. I had a lot of offers to get back to work during that time, but nothing felt good enough for me to be away from her and Syna. When the idea for The Moms Co. came along, I felt so passionately about it that I knew things could be balanced and I would manage it all (even though it would be tough).
So that’s probably the best advice I can give. It’s very hard to leave the kids, but moms need to take care of themselves. Do something every day that you feel really passionate about and that gives you a lot of joy and trust me your kids and family will appreciate it.
The pride with which Myraah tells her friends about The Moms Co. is among the best feedbacks that I have personally got, and it drives me to do more and do better, and make her proud of her mama.
I am thankful to you, Malika Sadani for sharing your journey with us, it is truly inspiring and I wish you all the best for future.
I am sure her journey has touched you. You can checkout more about Malika Sadani’s venture dedicated to moms here

I am so glad for this series you do on your blog. Malika is one of my favourite moms, running one of my favourite companies and my fav products of course. ???? I want to add how she makes it a point to wish you on your birthday, ask if you’re doing ok while the city you live in is drowning and even meet you when she is here. That’s the sign of a genuinely nice person. And such a person deserves the very best.
