Well, we all have our own challenges to face on both personal and professional fronts. However, many of us keep the lamp lit inside ourselves and keep moving ahead. An Inspiring woman with so many educational and professional credentials she is also a mum to two young boys.
Dr. Arika Bansal shares her motherhood journey with us here and the challenges faced by her.
Responsibilities increase manifold after becoming a mother. After the birth of my first child, I had to put my career on the back-burner to be able to focus on my kid. I was a stay-at-home mom for a year while my career was stagnant for the initial two years. As any mother would tell you, during the upbringing of your first child, there is a lot of fear and insecurities related to your kids’ health and almost everything seems so scary and it was exactly how I felt too then. However, things got more relaxed after the birth of my second child. Bringing up the second child was not too hectic and there wasn’t much pressure or stress, courtesy the experience!!
Dr. Arika Bansal, you are a doctor and you have duties towards your work does it make parenting difficult for you.
I wouldn’t say that being a doctor makes it difficult to be a parent as in any profession one needs to actively balance work and personal life. Being a doctor has its pros and cons. On one hand, it is a boon as it gives me an advantage and confidence in managing the health issues of my family especially kids while on the other, I don’t always have the luxury of teaching my kids personally. But, I ensure that their education is taken care of by good academic teachers.
Family support is really valuable, essential for a woman who wishes to pursue her dreams. Dr. Arika Bansal shares her thoughts and suggestions here.
It’s impossible to make it happen without the family support and in my case, my mothers’ timely help and physical support were immense. I definitely advise all mom’s out there to speak up when you need support.
Dr. Arika Bansal is a Co-Founder of Eugenix Hair Sciences here she shares her work and genesis behind the same.
My husband, Dr. Pradeep Sethi and I have a firm belief in giving back to the society. My husband I co-invented Direct Hair Transplant (DHT) technique, which was published in 2012 and is now practiced by surgeons globally. Apart from that, we also invented ‘No Root Touch’ technology which offers higher efficiency in hair transplant surgery and better graft survival. We wanted to share our knowledge, scientific innovation like DHT and excellence with the world, invariably giving back to society something better than the existing. This desire was the key factor for us in establishing Eugenix Hair Sciences in an organized environment, backed with deep-rooted knowledge of Science. As part of our vision, we hope to expand our operations across Metros and mini-metros.
Balance in life is very important and as a human, we all must try to work to attain it. Here Dr. Arika Bansal shares her method and formula to balance her work, motherhood, and life
I firmly believe that as a working woman and a mother, we should take care of our own health; we forget to look after ourselves in our focus on delivering excellence at work and watching out for our loved ones. I ensure that I take care of my health by eating nutritious food and exercising to be able to work tirelessly. The keystones in my work life have been my husband’s entrepreneur skills and associating with great minds.

This is amazing! I honestly couldn’t imagine all the sacrifices you’d make being a doctor and a mother! I left my job to stay home with my son, but my mother in law switched careers at 40 and became a doctor while still raising my husband! Y’all are amazing people!
